Prema V. PATHARE ( 1902 - 1997 )
Prema Pathare graduated from Sir J.J.School of Art , Mumbai in 1940 , where she studied under both Gladstone Solomon and Charles Gerard . She also attended Haldankar's Fine Art Institute under S.L.Haldankar . She exhibited in Mumbai and Gwalior and also internationally in Berne , Paris and London . She won numerous prizes including the Gold Medal from the Calcutta Art Society ( 1958 ) , and was a prominent member of the Bombay Art Society , being on the management committee from 1975 until 1985 .
