I have included a pic of an identical sculpture in this series by Larry Rivers being sold for $5,000. The only difference is that in the back of mine, the thin ledge that serves as a support has a crack in it (see pic). This is not visible from the display side and makes no structural difference, so it is not a problem in my opinion - but I have reduced the price accordingly. Larry Rivers was one of the earliest, if not the earliest, artist to qualify as making Pop Art in America. His "Washington Crossing the Delaware" was painted way back in 1953, when the Abstract Expressionists were slashing away! Google him for tons of information on this extremely important New York artist. He is on my top 5 list (along with Twombly, Rauschenberg, Julian Schnabel and Anselm Kiefer).
Proudly presented by Guy Lyman Fine Art, New Orleans, with our firm guarantee.
