The statue is very beautiful and rests on an oval base made of very fine dark wood. The lower part of the statue is dark, in a colour tending towards grey-black (this could be reminiscent of the sea and its waves), on top of which the two main characters of the sculpture rest.
They represent a Confucian sage with a woman, smaller than him. Both figures are depicted smiling.
The Confucian was a philosopher, the pivot of a culture based on Chinese-Confucian philosophy.
The figures are adorned with white waves, which seem to symbolize water. In addition, different animals are depicted: a crocodile, a peacock and a monkey.
The statue is wonderful and captivating, only for true lovers of Chinese art. less

- Prior to shipping or local pickup, buyers may cancel an order for any reason, with the exception of some Made-to-Order items, where supplies have been purchased or work begun on the item.
