Nature is often the starting point for the painter and weaver Mette Birckner, but going to explore the pictures, there are many stories stored. They can be magical, immediate or just sentient nature in all its color-saturated look.
Mette Birckner trained tapestry weaver from Hjørdis Bruun Weaving School in 1960 in Copenhagen, has since his debut at age 18 exhibited widely in Denmark, including at the Autumn Art Exhibition, Charlotte's Spring Exhibition, Artists' Easter Exhibition and Artists Summer Exhibition. Among many other exhibits are the Women's Museum, Concert Hall Aarhus and Textile Forum, Herning.
In 1988 Mette Birckner Danish Arts Foundation Operating Grant and the 1996 State Arts Foundation Travel Grant, which led to a trip to Greenland. The travel nspirerede to several tapestries, but also watercolors and paintings. In 1998, she also received Aarhus Kommunes Kunstnerstipendium. In 2000 Mette Birckner moved to Fyn - Assens. Today she lives in Copenhagen in the wellknown Kunstnerhjemmet in Gothersgade (The Artists Home). The source of inspiration is still nature experiences including travels to Iceland and Greenland. Orders where Free Local Pickup or Seller Managed Local Delivery were selected:
- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
- Once you have taken possession of the item, all sales are final
- International, cross-border returns may require different processes depending on the countries between which the item is shipping to/from, and the buyer is responsible and duties (if applicable, on cross-border orders).

Cancellations

- Chairish Freight Delivery

- Chairish Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks.
