A ca 1885 Belgium fine color lithograph featuring mushroom fungi, Agaricus Mappa (False death cap). Lithographed by H Furrer after Fritz Leuba. The print is titled with the scientific name below the image.
From 'Les Champignons Comestibles et les Especes Vénéneuses avec Lesquelles Ils Pourraient Etre Confondus' (Edible Mushrooms and the Poisonous Species With Which They Should Not be Confused).
Such a beauty, this would be perfect matted and framed. The print measures 10" x 13 3/4". Showing wear consistent with age.
Found at the Luckett's Fall Market near Leesburg, Virginia.
