Very beautiful pair of black and gilted metal spotlights, by Jean Boris Lacroix, made in France during the 50's or 60's.
the base and the articulate arm are in solid brass.
Jean Boris Lacroix is mainly known for his work on metal lighting fixtures but was both designer, architect and artistic director of Madeleine Vionnet's fashion house between 1934 and 1937. At the end of the Second World War he joined the Union modern artists (UAM) and continues his work as a designer of lamps and interior decorations.
Lacroix collaborated with two different editors for his lamps; Caillat and Jacques Biny's publishing house: Luminalite.
