'Still Life in Red and Blue' by Joseph Mellor Hanson, British, 1900–1963. Gorgeous abstract oil painting on canvas in a modern, gilt Frame. Dated 1960. Hanson has work in the collection of the MoMa and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Signed JMH at the lower left, also signed J.M. Hanson on the reverse along with a handwritten title written on the stretcher.
Very nice medium size.
