Pair of large wall sconces model "Pergamo 38" designed by Angelo Mangiarotti for Artemide during the 1980s.
The design is reminiscent of two inverted Mayan pyramids, where the alternation of steps is highlighted by the alternation of matte and shiny, made on the solid pink molded glass.
Both sconces house 2 lamp holders mounted on trapezoidal-shaped white metal supports.
Both long sides of the metal bases are curved in order to form rails where the glass diffusers can slide and be housed. The appliques are functional and in good general condition.
There is a chip on the glass of one of the two appliques visible from photos but imperceptible once hanging.
It can show slight traces of oxidation in the metal parts. This piece has an attribution mark,
I am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution,
