Van Der Straeten is an artist representative of the Belle Époque and the Art Nouveau movement. Of Belgian origin, he worked in Paris where he received several awards, attesting to his great technical mastery and the quality of his work.
The artist has created a touching work featuring the bust of a young Parisian woman, smiling and mischievous.
The ingenue, dressed in a draped dress and wearing a large ribbon holding her long hair, brings her hand to her face.
She laughs shyly, looking mischievous.
