moreTargeted specifically to women, the pastel-colored Princess telephone was the Bell company’s first foray into consumer marketing. During the economic boom of the 1950s, the designs of all sorts of utilitarian products were enhanced to reflect changing consumer moods and lifestyles. The Princess arrived toward the end of this wave, debuting in 1959. This phone was designed by Henry Dreyfuss.
This phone has been refurbished and polished. This phone rings, receives and transmits clearly and has a modular cord. The handset cord is original and is the nice "fat" coil cord. This phone does not light as it needs a transformer attachment to make the light work. 10 button telephones are rare. Especially in this condition. This is a used telephone and we may have missed a few scratches. Clean turquoise with minimal "yellowing" that is common in light colored telephones. Extra long line cord. The cords have yellowed a bit (see photos)l
Single line model with 10-button keypad and internal ringer. 10 button phones were made in 1963 and discontinued in 1968 due to the break up of Ma Bell.
Although cell phones and social media communication define our way of life today, brother-sister team Joe and Janette Antone still believe in the power of the landline. These vintage collectors and technological historians started American Telephone Store to honor the beautiful craftsmanship and nostalgic draw of rotary phones from the 1910s through the 1990s.
Please make sure your telephone provider allows for a rotary dial phone. 1 year warranty included in the price of the phone for parts and labor. Warranty does not cover breakage of the exterior of the phone. Warranty is through American Telephone Store. less
