The figurative bronze sculpture depicts a loving couple in a sitting embrace. The figures have a marvelous verdigris patinated finish that appears to be original to the over 50 year old artwork. The Couple is an original Victor Salmones sculpture with the artist signature on leg of the female figure. It is marked number two of a low edition of only 10 pieces.
Victor Salmones was born in Mexico City and was one of the most widely known sculptors living and working in Mexico during his lifetime. He has several large scale sculptures which can be found in commercial and private collections around the world. C9040
