The upholstery does show signs of wear including areas of light staining and discoloration (which can be seen in the photos provided) making this set a prime candidate for re-upholstery.With that said there are no rips, odors or fraying present whatsoever. The solid walnut legs and frames, ebonized in a silky jet-black stain, are in excellent condition showing no gouges, scratches or stains whatsoever.
