The table … Read more Bay Colony Antiques is proud to offer for sale this wonderful 19th century antique Connecticut Cherry candle stand. The table could be as early as 1790 or so, but to not split hairs over 10 years we have this listed as a 19th century stand. The stand was likely made in Connecticut, probably along the coast, and showcases a substantial cherry baluster with a three-legged spider base. The legs have a ton of character & animism, and it looks as if the table could saunter away. The top is also Cherry, and the ovolo corners are well proportioned and add to the aesthetic of the table. The light carving work at the base of the pedestal adds even more grace and this is just a beautiful table through and through. The legs were reinforced with a sheet metal spider and the table is in very good condition with our only notes being minor surface wear, mainly to the top. The table measures 15 7/8” wide x 17” deep x 26 3/4” tall. See less
