An admirable scene of an old log bridge with farm animals to the side encased in a beautiful gold leaf frame. Curtis Chamberlin (1852-1925) was born in Clinton, OH in 1852 where he was raised on a farm. At the age of 18, Chamberlin moved to Detroit to study art. From 1883 until 1910 he had an art studio in Denver, CO and was active in the local art scene. In 1917 he settled in Laguna Beach and in 1918 he was the cofounder of the local arts association. Chamberlin was active there until his passing. This painting comes signed on the bottom right hand corner.
