Antique early 19th century First Empire Dagoty Paris porcelain urn shaped sucrier. Decorated with cavaliers on horse back in brown sepia tones on an apricot ground. The bowl rising on large animal paw claw feet. Measures 5 1/4" tall x 4 1/4" diameter. Good condition - one foot reattached at the joint; lacking cover.
Another sucrier similarly decorated with an equestrian theme is in the permanent collection of the Musée Marmottan Claude Monet in Paris, France.
