Frank Fitzsimons was born in Antrim but grew up in Bangor, Co Down in the 1930’s. Fitzsimons joined the Belfast Art Club where he painted with Maurice Canning Wilks. Since then, his style and approach has been influenced by Charles McAuley and Frank McKelvey.
