The table consists of two half circles, or demi lunes, which is were it gets its name. They can be used together as a round table, where it could work excellent as for example a dining room table. Or it can be used apart as console tables side by side or for instance framing a window or similar. These tables have straight tapered legs with flutes running vertically, all made by hand. They are from northern Sweden and made in painted pine around the mid 1800s. As a round table it measures 89 cm in diameter which makes the individual demi lune tables circa half that deep at most.
