Tolix is one of our all time favourite companies. In 1907 frenchman xavier pauchard discovered that he could protect sheet metal from rusting by dipping it in molten zinc (galvanisation) and a few years later he set up his factory producing steel furniture. Tolix was the creator and founder of perhaps the most iconic cafe chair of all time, the tolix model a. Created in 1927, the c armchair’s design fully captures the art deco style of its period. This icon by xavier pauchard, furnished the luxurious ocean liner, “le normandie”. The c armchair is recognizable thanks to the interplay of fine tubes welded conjointly to form the back and armrests. This set retains the original soft blush coloured paint and these chairs are in exceptional original condition, our workshop services and rejuvenates each product before it leaves us. This rare and expensive chair i still in production by tolix today. Seat height 42 cm. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
