This monumental and important Renaissance Palladio display cabinet comes from the Palladian palace of a Venetian patrician family in Vicenza. It is made of ebonized solid hand-carved walnut. The back of the showcase was rebuilt again with the application of damask fabric. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
