It weighs 95 … Read more This valuable ancient noble 16th century Ligurian carved oak and chestnut Bambocci credenza features a display cabinet. It weighs 95 kg. It features decorative carvings of human forms, strong relief around the drawers, and carvings along the side uprights and edges. The grafts of the component parts are made with wooden nails. Bambocci often alternate with plant motifs or garlands of flowers or fruit. Generally the Bambocci furnitures are Genovese productions of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, with human figures carved in the round wood, both with decorative function as well as knobs or handles of drawers.
