The parrot’s feathers are intricately painted with hundreds of soft pink brushstrokes and a gorgeous black beak. Salmon crested cockatoos are also known as Moluccan cockatoos. They are some of the loudest of all birds and the female is generally larger than the male. Most live in Indonesia and Hawaii. They can no longer be imported to the US because this cockatoo is protected by the Wild Bird Conservation Act.
