Large antique 19th century English parian library portrait bust of Sir Walter Scott (1771 - 1832) in classical robes by E. W. Wyon. Scott was a Scottish historical novelist, poet, playwright, and historian.
Measures 15 1/4" tall x 10 1/2" across over shoulders. Fully marked on the back. Exceptional quality and detail. Two part construction with bust bolted to separate socle. Heavy weight. Good condition.
