Pierre Vandel is a French designer with international success, born in 1939. He founded his first high-end furniture workshop and then his brand "Pierre Vandel-Paris". His avant-garde vision and his inventiveness, both glamorous and minimalist, seduce people all over the world. His creations please. This coffee table and this sofa are no exception.
They are composed, for the table, of a double frame of square section and of a simple frame for the end of the sofa. The structures in lacquered metal of ecru color are assembled with mitre cut and inlaid in the center and on the sides of a slightly recessed brass band bearing the signature "Pierre Vandel-Paris". The top of the coffee table is protected by a window composed of two sheets of glass joined together which imprison a coating in its center. This trapped element lets appear by transparency the ecru color of the furniture.
The top of the sofa is a natural and transparent glass slightly beveled.
This furniture rests on a rectangular base in grooved metal.
During his career, Pierre Vandel has tormented the codes, revisited and reinvented the use of furniture, this coffee table and this end of sofa are real collector's items.
