The shade of the lamp is in black metal with acrylic glass reflector hold by three pins. Acrylic glass was a new and innovative material at that time. The lamp stands on a solid and high black marble round base. The rod it is attached by brass ball-joints on both sides of the stem which enables the shade to rotate and pivot. The lamp is in very good original condition. Stilux was one of the most innovative lighting design companies in Italy during the Mid-Century era. Their designs have been long sought after by collectors. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
