émile boulard (1861-1943) was born in champagne-sur-oise, the second son of auguste boulard, among his father's painter friends including corot.

he was a member of the jury of the 'salon des artistes français' and exhibited at the 'salon de la sociétaire nationale des beaux- arts'

and became a member in 1896. He received many awards and a silver medal at the 'exposition universelle' in 1900 and a gold medal at the 'philotechnique'.
