Made … Read more This vintage cabinet from Amodec was designed by Donald Deskey in 1935. Amodec stands for "American Modern Decoration Company". Made from solid Australian Laurel with Burl veneer. Donald Deskey designed the interior of New York's Radio City Music Hall and he was a pioneer in Modern Design in the United States. He became a founder of the "Streamline Modern" movement in furniture. This 2 door 3 drawer cabinet has been recently polished to bring out the detail of the Burled wood. There is one dark stain on one of the sides (see all photos). The interior signs of age and use have been left to the original state (see all photos). The Makers Marks are see on the plaque inside the drawers and stamped on the back. The interior shelves are not adjustable. The wood pulls are accented with solid Brass. See less
