moreWe lived in Taiwan in 1977-1979 and bought this Opium Bed which has richly carved feet, panels and accents plus double sides and top with cupboard from The Chuck Bushnell Antique dealer. He tried to buy it back before we left the island saying it was the best bed he had ever seen. It was old then but cannot remember it's age but certainly almost an Antique. Over the years and many moves I no longer have any paperwork on it. Our son used it as his bed until he was 16 and 6 feet tall! We now use it as our third bedroom when the curtains are drawn in our condo landing alcove. It is always a show piece going up the stairs to the living level. A rare handsomely carved Opium Bed preserving Chinese culture that is decorative as well as useful.
