Photographer Gregg Felsen Felsen is blessed with an intuitive eye for composition and the ability to transform visual encounters with the world into memorable and lasting images. His experience, sense of visual artistry and composition, as well as his photojournalistic, personable, and unobtrusive style combine to capture the emotions and essence of each event, assignment, or portrait session and to deliver compelling and memorable images.
Created in 2011 by American sculptor Seward Johnson, this 34,000-pound, 26-foot high statue made of painted steel and aluminum is a representation of an image of Marilyn Monroe that was taken in New York City outside the Trans-Lux Theater at 586 Lexington Avenue on September 14, 1954, during the filming of Billy Wilder’s 1955 film The Seven Year Itch. Monroe frequently vacationed in Palm Springs and famed photographer Bruno Bernard took many famous photographs of her at the Palm Springs Racquet Club.
Since it was completed, the statue of Marilyn has been on display in various locations in the United States including Chicago, Palm Springs, and Hamilton, New Jersey as well as in Australia. While in Palm Springs from May 14, 2012-April 2, 2014, Forever Marilyn was located on the corner of Palm Canyon Drive at Tahquitz Canyon Way. It remained there until the public farewell concert on March 27, 2014, and its eventual departure from Palm Springs on May 2, 2014. From Palm Springs, Forever Marilyn went to The Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, New Jersey for a retrospective of the life and works of its creator, Seward Johnson.

- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller

Cancellations
