Although some call this form a J. W. Fiske design, these are not foundry marked. The deep and crisp cast details are impressive. They are unquestionably of the period, and the surface has received many coats of paint. The current surface is untouched, and it has all the signs of age and bits of rust that we collectors of cast iron garden ornaments prefer. If, however, you might choose to have them cleaned and repainted, even more of the cast detail would be visible. Tight crack about three inches high on one base, many layers of paint. See less
