Eva Martino (American, b. 1929) - Monumental Modernist Hand Carved Biomorphic Sculpture, Signed. Hand carved wood sculpture with stippled initials “EM” at the base. In good condition with stress cracks and wear consistent with age.

Born in Philadelphia, Martino studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts summer program in Yellow Springs in Chester County, Pennsylvania. She was the wife of Giovanni Martino, a painter who came from a family of artists. Martino showed both nationally and internationally during her career. Her work can be found at Woodmere Art Museum in Philadelphia.
