In his beach series, Pardo is taking the viewers into a journey. A journey that goes on the line between surreal and real. His photos, straight shots that he manipulates, are sometimes confusing. The viewers are not certain whether it is a painting or a photo, and even then, whether the people on the beach are real, even so, were they staged or were they just there. Is what we are seeing is a real scene, or it is surreal?
