ARTIST'S BIOGRAPHY:

Per Rune Person was a painter born on March 14, 1914 in Sundbyberg, Sweden. He is well-known in Sweden for his impressionist paintings of figures, interiors, and landscapes. Person studied at Otte Sköld's painting school in Stockholm from 1930 to 1932 and with Otte Sköld as a teacher at the Academy of Fine Arts from 1934 to 1940. Together with Isaac Grünewald, he undertook a study trip to Paris in 1937. Together with Gerry Eckhardt and Leif Christerson, he exhibited in Luleå in 1947 and together with Ture Lidström and Sven Lundqvist at Galerie Acté in Stockholm. He participated in group exhibitions arranged by Sveriges Allmänna konstförening and Sundbybergs konstförening.

Person is represented at museums in Eskilstuna, Nyköping, Hudiksvall, Östersund, Luleå, Riksdagshuset in Stockholm, Landskrona and Solna as well as at Sweden's embassies in Brussels, Bonn, New York, Washington, Copenhagen, New Delhi, Tripoli Libya, Rabat in Morocco, Gaborone in Botswana and Pyongyang in North Korea.

Rune Person passed away on July 15, 1990 in Delsbo, Sweden.
