The vivid floral pattern of this dish is characteristic of Italian majolica ceramics also known as faïence popularly manufactured in Nove, Italy. The fact that the rattan handle is still intact and in great condition makes this a unique vintage piece. The pierced lattice pattern gives a delicate, lacy effect. The back of the dish is impressed with the words “Paul’s Italy” indicating it was imported from Italian artisans by Edward Paul and Company between 1930 and 1950. See less
