Lovely rest bed with mobile support, gilded drowning and sitting with springs, all resting on four square feet square in beech.
Fully restored by the TWS workshops (Calais) and covered with a jacquard fabric with a good textured effect, which contrasts with the brilliant velvet keys, the "Platea" model of the Casal house.
This very beautiful achievement is allocated to the Louis Majorelle workshops.

The rest bed or day bed is a bed in a place. This kind of sofa generally arranged in the living room was used to rest during the day.
Appeared in the 17th century, it was in vogue in the following century in the duchess, duchess and meridian versions.
The rest beds as well as the lounge chairs, the armchairs, the couches and the sofas constitute places apart reserved for reading or reverie.
This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,

- Chairish Freight Delivery
