Sarouk is a small village and its neighboring villages in Northwestern Iran. Most Sarouk carpets follow a very distinctive design and is depended on floral sprays and bouquets. They have a full pile and are the most durable of Persian rugs.
This is an exceptional example of an antique Sarouk carpet dating from circa 1920s and measuring 6.3 x 12.3 ft. It is in excellent condition.
