An ingenious box that lifts up with the help of a (possibly) Bakelite handle figurine. The early plastic "girl" in the style of a flapper may date this piece to the 1920s. Both the legs (at the knees) and torso (at the hips) articulate.
The box measures 5"W x 7"L x 2-1/4"H. Size including figurine is 5"W x 9-1/2"L x 5"H.
Truly a very rare find for the fun-loving collector!
