A sculptural German coffee table dating from the 1970s, attributed to designer Knut Hesterberg and combining a chromed metal base with a generously proportioned oval top in smoked glass.

The base is composed of three large, fluidly curved metal rings that overlap to create a dynamic supporting structure. Their polished surfaces reflect the light and surrounding interior, while the dark-tinted glass top gives the design an elegant and luxurious appearance.

The combination of circular lines, polished chrome and smoked glass is characteristic of the progressive Space Age design of the 1970s. Despite its generous proportions, the table retains an open and visually light appearance thanks to its transparent construction.

The oval tabletop offers ample space for books, decorative objects and everyday use. Its pronounced sculptural form allows the table to function both as a practical piece of furniture and as a central design object in a modernist, eclectic or vintage interior.

In good vintage condition. The glass top shows several superficial scratches consistent with age and use, but has no visible chips or major damage. The chromed base displays light signs of age and use.
