This antique Chinese altar table is handcrafted with elmwood. The traditional Chinese design motif is nicely carved on the front of the table. The side panels of the table are nicely carved as well. The wood plank used for the top of the table is almost two inches thick and a single plank. The table is crafted with wooden pegs and a tenon structure; which is the very traditional craftsmanship for furniture making in ancient China. Circa early of 19th century. Original patina and wear. The table is very solid and has been kept in excellent condition.
