This modern swing arm desk lamp can be used wherever task lighting is needed. Walter von Nessen for Nessen Studio chrome swing arm lamp was designed in 1927 and is sleek and modern in design. I don’t know the exact age of this lamp, however it may have been produced in the 1950s, 1960s or 1970s. The Nessen Studio name is on the light socket.
The round base is 8” across. When the swing arm is folded in, the width is approximately 10” and when fully extended, the width is approximately 18” wide. The lamp is approximately 16” high to the top of the bulb. The lamp shade is approximately 13” across the top and approximately 14” across the bottom and is approximately 5” high. This lamp is designed for one bulb and the shade rests on top of the bulb.
The lamp works, however, I recommend that all vintage lamps be rewired.

I have checked and the lamp works. However, I recommend the rewiring of vintage lamps. The shade exhibits condition issues along the top rim, and the sides. Please refer to the pictures. The chrome shows some imperfections due to age and use.
