The large-scale work is framed in a minimalist metallic frame for timeless appeal and versatility, with an open back. The work was recently cleaned and restored and is signed by the Artist on the lower front. Created in the late 1800s to early 1900s by Gabrielle Morin, known for her landscapes of the English Channel, most held within private collections across the globe. Gabrielle Morin was a student of Emile Maillard and worked near the Normandy coast of France. She donated her paintings and home to the EU municipality as a Museum Morin. After its destruction in World War II, her works were transferred the Museum Louis Philippe in the EU castle. See less
