In this small, colorful oil painting the artful nature of purple iris come to life. Inspiration for this painting of iris came from my love for flowers and observing a small field of purple iris while I was on a walk. I could imagine laying in the field and just letting myself feel the ground beneath me as I gazed up surrounded by the soothing nature of the cool palette of colors.
