Painted on a wood panel, the artist has carefully cut out the image of the women s shoe encircled in blue rings. The angular position of the foot and the artist style of painting adds to the realism of the artwork. To further enhance the eye-catching subject of the painting, the artist mounted the painted panel on a wood box, creating a spacer. This spacer allows the painted artwork to hang away from the wall, as if it is floating. This really adds to the drama and presence of the artwork.
