Here's a pair of 1970s Kurt Vonnegut novels sure to provide you with some needed comic relief.and/or some bookshelf decore. Master satirist Kurt Vonnegut published "Breakfast of Champions" in 1973 and"Jailbird" in 1979. The earlier book appears to be about obsession, and the latter, politics. Perhaps Vonnegut believed they were one and the same. "Breakfast" was published in 1973 by Delacorte and this hardcover, in jacket, was printed for the Delacorte (Random House) Book Club. It is 303 illustrated pages long and in very good vintage condition. "Jailbird" is a 1979 First Printing (stated) from Delacorte. It's a hardcover in clipped jacket (with price tag) and in excellent, never read, vintage condition. Both books' texts and illustrations are clean, bright and unmarked. The only note: the "Breakfast" jacket has some mild wear along its edges, but is intact. "Jailbird" is avidly collected in this state and its value is increasing over time. Add both these books to your collection of favorite Mid-Century authors, or start a collection of Vonnegut and other greats. This pair will be packed carefully, with tracking. less
