The table is painted with black paint that has become distressed and the wood underneath shines trough in places. The distress of the paint and wood that shows trough emphases the shapes and details of the table so they become more prominent. The distress also gives more character and dimension to the table along with the warm patina of the pine. The table has an oval table top with a profiled edge going all around. The legs are sturdy and carved expressively with dynamic and powerful shapes. The single column going into the 3 feet is a common structure for the time. The smaller size of the table contrast nicely to the more powerfully carved feet and creates a unique piece that would add subtle character to a space.
