Then as “Kashmir Shawls”, were the height of fashion in the 1700’s; ultimately manufactured in Paisley, Scotland by 1800; revived during the Arts and Crafts movement; and then cool again when worn in the “summer of love”, 1969. In short, it is an ancient pattern that has always been fashionable, a little bohemian and yet traditional! This beautifully soft green paisley features a lovely harmony of color - traditional rust and golden tear drop motifs on a background of sage and moss green. On the reverse is chenille in moss green. The fabulous fluffy thick brush trim adds to the richness of design, in threads of moss, rust red and gold.
