Blurriness is a characteristic result of the difficulty in lining up the dyed yarns, and resulting designs are often 2-color diamond-like patterns. The English designer Jane Churchill updates traditional and classical English décor with modern, vibrant touches, using her ikats like Odell in her home in Chelsea. Odell is printed in pebble grey and French blue with cotton and linen threads. A French blue brush trim on the ends only of the pillow keeps the overall effect simple, and highlights the blue in the ikat pattern. On the reverse is a textured pebble grey linen and 2 tie closures.
