Special black edition of B17 wall-mounted bookshelf designed by Pierre Chapo, circa 1970 in France. Manufactured by Chapo Creation, 2019. Oakwood. In original condition, with wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina. The piece will be shipped demounted. Pierre Chapo is born in a family of craftsmen. After his regular studies, he worked in the workshop of a navy carpenter. He was graduated architect in 1958 from the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, after having travelled in the United States and in Europe. He opened his own workshop first in Clamart as well as a shop in Paris. Chapo's work was inspired by Charlotte Perriand. Ten years later he settled down in Gordes, where he based the Societe´ Chapo. He then dedicated himself mainly to his work as a carpenter and a cabinetmaker and gave a series of lectures about his great passion, wood. Size This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity

Orders where Free Local Pickup or Seller Managed Local Delivery were selected:
- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
- Once you have taken possession of the item, all sales are final

Cancellations

- Chairish Express In-Home deliveries are currently only offered for international cross-border shipments.
- The item will be delivered to your home and placed in the desired room. The delivery service includes unpacking, inspecting, and removing packaging materials; and does not include installation or setting up the item.
- Shipping charges start at $999 and vary based on the size, weight, packaging, and/or the value of the item.
- Deliveries can take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks to be delivered.
- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.
- You will need tools and/or equipment to open the crate.
