Hand-knotted in fine silk, a gorgeous rug inspired by 20th century antique Khotan-Samarkand rugs of the 1920s.
New to our Modern Classics collection, the 5x13 piece honors the soul of East Turkestani works in the unusual gallery size Khotans so distinctly enjoyed. This vision depicts classic patterns in a whole new, luxurious way with the widely regarded symbols—pomegranate patterns in the field and a cloudband pattern in the border.
