Originating between 1920-1930, a rare 4x10 antique Caucasian kilim rug believed to be of Russian tribal provenance.
Handwoven in all wool, the gorgeous design witnesses meticulously embroidered elements for its time and lineage. The employment of rich reds on deep blue with pink play with meticulously embroidered elements for its time, seldom seen complementing the geometry with a textural beauty. Notes of beige and off-white accents have a similarly thoughtful effect, while also lending a mild positive-negative element against the deep background for an added, smart complement.
A rare and collectible piece in good condition, worthy of adorning the most prestigious array of projects.
