The chairs are luxuriously wrapped with a textured full-grain indigo blue leather of the highest quality and which ages beautifully. Each chair has 4 casters which are well-integrated into the design (easily removed, if desired). These fauteuils offer first-class comfort in a tidy footprint; perfect for the home office, games room or game table, library, or media room. iV Mariani is a family business with a tradition of fine Italian craftsmanship built over generations.

Very good vintage condition with patina typical for vintage leather. Sturdy and sound.

“Florence and Herbert were drawn to objects that were inherently interesting or beautiful or important,” says Robert Kasdin, the former chief investment officer of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, who was friends with the couple for 30 years. “They were not trying to create a collection that would be a ‘definitive collection.’ This was a bottom-up appreciation of objects.”
